  One of the oldest Mosques in Manama, used to be called "Al Sharghi Grand Mosque ", built in 1898 approximately, and it was last renewed in 1995 by the late Amir Shk. Essa Bin Salman Al Khalifah.

  من أقدم جوامع البحرين، إذ يبلغ عمره ما يقارب 150 عاما. وجامع الفاضل يقع في المنامة بحي الفاضل. ويذكر أنه قد أعيد بناؤه أكثر من مرة، وقد كان في أول الأمر من دون مئذنة، إذ أمر الشيخ حمد بن عيسى آل خليفة ـ رحمه الله ـ بإقامة مئذنة له في العام 1357 هـ. ويتميز جامع الفاضل حاليا بجمال معماري مميز، إذ كان هناك جمع بين عدة طرز معمارية إسلامية في زخرفته حديثا إلا أن منارته لاتزال كما هي ولم يتم فيها أي تعديل منذ نشأتها وهي من نوع فريد في الشكل وحتى في أسلوب التنفيذ ويبلغ طولها حوالي 130 قدما، ويوجد بداخلها 122 درجة سلم وعند النظر إليها تعطيك الإحساس بالشموخ وتأخذك الدهشة والتعجب من كيفية تنفيذها بهذه الرشاقة والرفعة، إنها بلا شك تحمل معاني إنسانية وقيما روحية تجعل الفرد المسلم يفخر بانتمائه إلى الإسلام وتعمق الانتماء إلى تلك البقعة التي ستظل تعبد الله وتساهم في نشر دينه الحنيف ومن المعروف أن عائلة آل سعد تولت مهمة إمامة المسجد والخطابة فيه منذ بنائه وحتى الآن، ويتولى إمامته حاليا الشيخ إبراهيم بن عبدالله آل سعد الذي يعمل قاضيا شرعيا في محكمة الاستئناف العليا الشرعية For one of the oldest mosques in Bahrain, as aged about 150 years.
